Purpose: To empower and bring confidence to women
Objective: In light of what's happened in Melbourne recently and the number of assaults and threatening behaviour towards women, League of Extraordinary Women are partnering with some of Australia's leading self-defence organisations to bring free and accessible self-defence workshops to women across Australia.
These workshops aim to bring awareness and practical teachings to those that attend about safety, prevention and self-reliance
Time and expertise kindly donated by Jim Armstrong of Protect Self Defence
Jim Armstrong has been involved in the martial arts and self protection industry for over 30 years. His common sense approach and easy teaching style has seen him run successful seminars in not only Australia but also worldwide. He is an instructor in several systems of martial arts but specialises in Self Protection for the everyday person.
Styles/ systems taught by Jim: Raw Combatives, Protect Self Defence, Urban Combatives, Nasubukang Arnis and Senshido international.
