How's it going for you?
Have you ever started playing a game with a bunch of friends, only to realise halfway through that it wasn’t a very fun game?
What did you do at that moment you realised that the game was actually pretty shit and not enjoyable at all?
Did you quit? Did you say, "Hey everyone, I’m going to call it a night.”
Or did you continue playing because you didn’t want to disappoint everyone else? Or perhaps it didn’t even cross your mind that you couldn’t opt out halfway through because you’re a sticker, you stick things out to the end. Winning is more important than actually enjoying the moment.
There might be times when we start projects or opt into collaborations, help out with events or work with clients that didn’t turn out the way we intended it.
So if there is something that is currently niggling at you, that is making you stay awake at night or you’re just simply not enjoying anymore.
Ask yourself, how’s it going for you?
Now ask yourself, can you choose to opt out of this game and call it a night?
If not, we can remember it as a valuable life lesson.
