Do daily positive affirmations really work?
Each morning when you get up, what are the first few thoughts that pop into your head?
Make a conscious effort for the next 3 days to write down your first thoughts onto a notepad next to your bed. You may be surprised at what those first few things you say to yourself are. If they aren't even on the spectrum of positivity, this will help.
You see, we all know that our thoughts are what drives us to feel good, to attracting positive vibes and creating opportunities for ourselves. So what if we could do something daily that could set us up for success? That's where positive affirmations come in.
You see, positive affirmations are so much more than just a "feel good" quote. They are a language of the brain. To be effective they need to be sentenced in the present tense, include only positive words and spoken as “truth” statements. There’s so much science behind positive affirmations and how they work and because I don't want to write a thesis here, I encourage you to google it out in your spare time and are curious.
For now, here are some positive affirmations to help you get started or to add to your list. I enjoy writing them out each day myself in my 5 min journal. You can say it in your head, out loud, sing it or scribble it on your bathroom mirror.

- MY LIFE UNFOLDS IN AMAZING WAYS
- I KNOW WHAT TO DO AND TAKE ACTION
- I ALLOW MYSELF TO BE GREAT
- I ALLOW MY IMAGINATION TO SOAR
- ALL IS WELL IN MY WORLD
- MY POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS
- I AM CHOOSING AND NOT WAITING TO BE CHOSEN
- I HAVE THE POWER TO CREATE CHANGE
- I AM ENOUGH
